New Students:  before the first class I would like to see several examples of your best work.

Each class will focus on drawing and related skills, working from supplied objects in the studio or the garden.  With increased skill level, water color, acrylic or oil painting are introduced.  Art appreciation, art history, and critical thinking skills are integrated into all lessons.  Respectful behavior is enforced during class, and constructive criticism mandated during "critique time."  Parents are responsible for grading students if grading is desired.

Supplies:  Students must bring these items to the first class:  a drawing pad with good-quality paper (at least 18"x24"); one set of drawing pencils, and a gum eraser.  The pad will be used during class, and to complete homework assignments that are given after each class.

Note: An inexpensive cardboard portfolio can also be purchased for storage and to transport larger artwork, as needed.  Other supplies for use at home or class are optional but it is never too early to provide good quality art supplies for your students!

I will provide large and small easels, all objects the students will draw or paint in class, and all other supplies needed in class, including, watercolor paper, watercolors and watercolor brushes, colored pencils, charcoal, conte crayons, etc).  I like the students to experience as many mediums as possible during the session. However, if acrylics paints or oils are used in the class, each student must purchase their own supplies (canvas, paint and brushes).

Tuition for each 10-week session:        Level 1 Class:   $120

                                                                 Level 2 Class:   $160

                                                                 Level 3 Class:   $180

Students will be added to the roster when payment is received.
